I have heard that there are more Registered Walker Hounds East of I-95 that the rest of the US combined. I believe it too.

No arguement here on that Rodney.I know of one club that owns over 200 hounds and guess what they turn them loose ever Sat 52 weeks out of the year and I have caught my share of them

I don't know of any other than myself crawfish. I live close to the dist 8/9 line so I trap some on both sides.

Now that we have a coon season and hopefully a fox season in the comming years they will be more interest in our area. Are you going to the NCTA convention? the man that showed me how to trap is not with us anymore. thats been 20 years ago and i am trying to get started again.

crawfish I'll try my best to get there this year. My older trapping buddies are gone now too. Its good that your wanting to get started again. The trappers that start in times like this are the ones that really want to trap. I started during the fur boom in the 70s and kept going. I'm glad to help any way I can. I'll give you my phone number in a PM.
*My trapping buddies aren't all gone. I can look across this map and know where some good ones are.

Crawfish and Mountain Man, I live in Vale, district 8. Just joined this site today. Didn't trap for years[Uncle Sam called] but have been back at it two years. Started back to teach my sons and for fun too.
