Hi, i'm new to the area and trapping. I have a few questions, maybe yall can help. what kind of permits or tags does a guy need to get, and where would someone recommend going to start getting outfitted for trapping in the brunswick county area? Any light that could be shed would be great, thanks guys.

You will need a trapping license, conty or state.
While you are getting it, get a copy of the regs
and read them more than once. The wardens
are picky about the details. NCTA has a one day
beginners course, offered in several places and
at different times. If it interests you, I'll help you
find one. I don't know of a supply dealer near you.
Its a pity you missed our convention in September.

do you have to take the trapper ed course to get a license or can you just buy one ?

Trappers Ed is not yet mandatory in NC.
