Been out of it for a long time so please forgive me for asking a newbie question. I didn't find it in the NC game laws digest so I am going to ask here. Is it legal for a coon hunter to sell coon hides legally harvested to a fur dealer without a furbearers license? I have a lifetime sportsman license so the hunting part is covered. I don't mind buying the trapping license, but if it isn't needed I am not.
The wording in the GL digest is extremely vague, like when it gives the daily and possession limit yet it says you can not have over the possession limit even in your home. That sounds tricky if you are going to store them to sell.

If you have a hunting license, you can sell coon hides to a licensed buyer.
