new to nc trapping

hi everybody,
i was just looking through the site here and being new to nc and to trapping for that matter, i was wondering if anyone could help inform me of any limits we have for trapping furbearers. I looked on the NC wildlife site and found some complex regulations about fox, but is that the only furbearer that is regulated as far as limits go? id be trapping in onslow county and surrounding areas if i get the time.

First off, welcome aboard and we are glad to have you. My advice to you would be to pick up the regulation book at any license vendor and study the trapping section, as we have difference regulations in different parts of the state. Fox is the only especially convoluted system as it is run county by county rather than on a state level (if you fox trap you better get out the book every time you cross a county line). We have been working with the NCWRC to standardize more appropriate regulations statewide, but fox is still in the works. Here are direct links to the electronic versions if you prefer that way:

Hello to all!!!
I need help ? But dont we all at frist.Iam new to trapping but my dad is a big time trapper in MI. what does the NC. law tell us about what type of trappes we can or cant use? I cant find it on the book, do thay have to have the rubber jaws in the or can we use the all steel jaws ? I need help killing the coyotes in the southeastern part of Brunswick Co. so if anyone can tell me the tricks of the tread send me a e-mail .Thanks
