Need general lure & bait advice

Hey All....

New to the area......I'm looking to draw in a variety of critters (fox, yote, cat....mostly predators).

I've tried some of Mark June's lures (Fox Frenzy and Windwalker) with little success...although I can't blame the lures so much. Seems like it rains as soon as I put it out.

So, curious what you guys think...can you over-do it for fox, yote or cats? If I put some Windwalker lure down (which has skunk)...put down some fox and yote urine (or fox, yote and cat urine?) and some tainted meat as bait...would that be just too much and scare these critters off, in your experience?

I guess, after going back and reading this, it seems like I'm trying to take the easy way out and that's not it. But have tried a variety of things and just wonder if I'm maybe being too cautious (?) or perhaps not covering my own scent enough (?).

But fox, in particular don't seem to shy these days. Heck, I live in town and I saw a pair of greys in my backyard one night in May and a solo gray back there in the beginning of August....and we have a dog that spreads his scent everywhere ...which is probably what drew the fox in......

also...how often do you all typically re-apply your lures, etc? Have you found it's possible to overdo this too?

All you need to take the animals you mentioned is to be clean at your set , make your set properly and for me red fox urine and beggan strips that you buy for a dog from any walmart or dollar store. Keep it simple!

FOR CATS I MAKE BIG FLASHY SETS MUTIPLE HOLES WID LOTS OF FEATHERS AND IAPPEAL FLAGING OVER IT AND ONLY U SE LURE AT THESE SETS FOX A SIMPLE DIRT HOLE WID CRACKLINS OR A CATFISH DIP BAIT U CAN GET AT WALLY WORD GET THE BLOOD ONE NOT ROTTEN SHAD AS IT IS A POSSUM MAGNET!I USE VERY LITTLE URINE AT ANYSET UNLESS IT IS A SENT POST ALSO EGG SHELL AT THESE SETS ALL CRUSHED UP IS A GREAT ATTRACTOR

You can over-do it with fragrances!
Use a good lure, just one at a set.
Bait is a personal thing. I don't like
anything with pork in it. And most
animals like fresh meat better than
old. Get most of the smell you need
from lure, castor, skunk essence,etc...
