We are finally getting a sip of rain down here... but most of the corn I saw north of here is dried and rolled...

Rye, We did get an inch and half Friday and a trace early this am. Hope Skip is on target about popup showers tomorrow afternoon and Wed. Corn, Milo, Sunflowers and Millets are all good but dry out fast. Our deficit is 5.86 inches for the year. Taximan, Seems to be that way during that time of year doesn`t it!?

We're hit and miss down here in the southeast. In a 10 mile span Friday, we went from one inch at my house to 5.87 on a good gauge at the ferry. Then we reversed the order, and had reports from three to five inches interspersed with trace amounts. Four solid hours of rain at my house, but you can't tell it from my catalpa trees. The crepe myrtles love it, and my grass is doing TOO well. Corn and beans are growing nicely. And the flattails are moving again--hurrah! I needed to make some bait. But we're still short for the year, and still recovering from the last two years.
