Coyote Nuisance Control

The "Coyote Nuisance Control" Subcommittee was developed to find a solution to coyote control across the State. The subcommittee went to the NCWRC for their professional advice. As official record, the NCWRC recommended a proven method, trapping. To encourage coyote trapping on a larger scale the NCWRC recommended a state wide fox season to encourage trappers to trap in counties that did not have a fox trapping season resulting in more coyote catches. This method of control is not an experiment, it has been proven to reduce coyote populations. This was the official recommendation from the NCWRC. The "Coyote Nuisance Control" subcommittee asked for a solution and the NCWRC gave one.
This is now official record.
Then for whatever reason Steve Windham Chairman of the NCWRC Commission, called not a NCWRC professional, or a Rep. of the sub-committee but the head or local head of the houndsmans Association Bobby Harris to see if there was going to be a conflict. Needless to say Bobby Harris said Yes!
Now Steve Windham has changed the official recommendation of the NCWRC with ONE phone call to ONE houndsmen. Chairman Windham wants to put this subject on hold and bring it up at the NCWRC public hearings to see how much controversy there will be over trapping fox. This is not about trapping fox, it is about Coyote Nuisance Control.
This is the best chance we have ever had to get the fox listed as a game/furbearer and have a state wide fox trapping season. Here is all the information for you to call every NCWRC Commissioner and Rep. Arthur Williams and Rep. Bill Faison. Rep. Faison is the one who has brought this to the table and Arthur Williams is the Chair of the Committee. Rep.Tim Spear is an avid sportsman and has helped us in the past. Tim should also be called for support.
Keep the subject to "Coyote Nuisance Control".

There will be a meeting wed. on this topic, short notice but that what we have. House will convene May 12. If we don't call in large numbers and quick this will be put off again, because of one phone call.
Call and have anyone you know call that is or has have problem with coyotes, Live stock associations, farmers, homeowners, hunters, etc.

That is correct. Contact these people again. We only have a couple weeks. Flood them with emails.

This can happen if we just do the work. Call, Call, E-Mail or both everyone on the list. The longest it would take is an hour.
Contact landowners, owners of livestock, homeowners, who have had coyote trouble and give them the numbers and e-mails addresses so they don't have to work, just make contact.

How did this turn out? What can be done now, where is this coyote nuisance control proposition from the NCWRC now? I HATE having to leave my home county to fox trap. Let me know what I can do.
