Is it legal to set a body gripper on a leaning pole? Regulation say you cant suspend the catch but doesn't say anything about using the leaning pole set. I will be trapping an area that is popular with people and dogs and would like to use the leaning pole for coons. I used this type of set when living in Maine and had a great success rate. Thanks, John

Nothing in the regs forbid it. I use conis on log crossings. To satisfy the detail of the law, use cable or chain to reach the ground.

Like David said, make sure your chain/cable is long enough to reach the ground, since its illegal to set it up where they may hang or be suspended.
