Finally got my first yote of the season... Nice healthy one... no photos though, as I forgot the camera at the house.
Healthy young dog in an MB450 OS. Held him by two toes.

Congrats! I bought some of the 450's but haven't really had a chance to try them yet. I think I'm going to stick with the 550's though. We just dont have that many fox around and I would rather target the yotes anyway. They are an awesome little trap though. Good job Rye!

after a couple of pull outs on some #2's this year.. I've decided I"m selling those off and going to pick up some 550's to test out.. I am also going to convert from my 1.65 collection to the 450 OS. I really like that little trap.

Nope, standard dirt hole set with home made bait in the hole, some of bottomlines special brew, and a few feathers in the hole. Used a small rock for backing.

Way to go Rye, glad to see that advice I gave you the other day paid off! LOL ;D The funny thing is I don't know anything to tell him except what not to do! Maybe there will many more to follow.

got to have traps in to catch them! I can't find a square foot of dry ground to put one in!
I did put out a short beaver line today though.. just seven traps, but I don't think there are many in this particular hole to begin with.... we'll see.

good luck finding that dry land now. they said its going to rain every 3-4 days like it has been. i judged a deer field trial today and half of the roads were under water, what a mess. i guess it would be a good time to be a water trapper, no shortage of that. ;D
