Trying to relocate some coons with live trap. What is the best bait to try??

be very careful relocating any coons...check local regulations and talk to your game warden...DO NOT RELOCATE TO GAME LANDS! Coons are number 1 carrier of rabies and can be rabid months without showing and signs. Also be careful handeling them, you would probably be better off humanly dispatching them. if you feel that you cant do this i am sure someone in your area from the site could handel them for you.

That is how rabies was introduced to NC from FL back in the 60's
In NC we can only relocate on the same land, so hope you have a few hundred acres, so those particular coon don't come back..
Once problem critters are removed from an area, more move in eventually as the population grows and disperses and will also need removed.
Wish I had better news
If you put the area you live, someone nearby might volunteer to help.

A good bait to use is fish or anything sweet such as molasses or honeybuns

It is illegal to move live coons. When caught, you can release them at the catch location only.
