This is the only thing I can praise mother nature for due to this cold weather. I thought this was pretty cool. I was trapping a farm pond for beaver and muskrat today that was totally frozen over. This is a picture I took at a den entrance, it is air bubbles from the critters which shows there runs. Cant get much easier than this!!!

I am glad mother nature is giving you some help!!! All I have received is a bunch of frozen ground. I stopped today on a sand hill to get some extra dirt and I couldn't budge one bit out of the ground. Went and bought some top soil, never used it before but at least it's not froze!!!! YET. lol

Don't you worry I had to chisel all of my land traps out the other day and antifreeze them all. That was a lot of work.

I just learned that i will have to chisel all of mine up tommorrow. The farmer i had permission has a brother that had already gave permission to some rabitt hunters. Beagles and #3's don't work to good together. So I guess i will have to start hunting a new place, got plenty of small farms, but those big ones sure are nice! Oh well.

Happens all the time Kenny. You could just trip the trap and cover it up till they are gone. Keep you from having to pull them and set them again.

Your right but you never know when they will show up. It's so hard to find a big area with no pressure anymore. My pal has Open Grounds ( 50,000 acres ) with plenty of yotes. I am glad it's just a hobby because if i was trying to make a living i would have been broke along time ago. I have the fox pen booked everyweek until May so I guess I won't be to bored. My only goal now is to meet Rye since he's back in town.
