I just aquired some super good land for canines, but it's beef cow pasture. I put in some pre-baited sets, and lots of coyotes working the sets but so are the cows. Anyone have any suggestions keepin the cow's from setting off my traps?

dig a big hole...bed trap in the bottom of the hole....make a bait hole inside the big hole so the yote has to step down to look iniside...the beef wont steep in a hole like that...yote will

Hunter 50...
How are the coyotes getting into the pasture?
Look for sign along typical features used by coyotes leading to pasture (i.e. roads, windrows, creek bottoms, ridges, elevated berms into pasture, etc.... if you can set outside the pasture that is one way to keep cows out of your traps.
Now is a good time to look for sign.

I set out a cow skull and some charred wood post's. Put urine on them. no scent. After the cow's check them out maybe they will leave them alone.
