Anybody tell me how to work rabbit fur? I'm going with some buddies and beagles this saturday and I want to keep a few furs for myself and my girl who wants to make stuff with it....I have heard a few different ways, but I wanted to hear from the pros haha!

Go to members list. Search for Prune. Send him a PM. Maybe he can help. He can skin and put up anything! Thanks for sharing your knowledge Prune!!

Be real careful as the hide is paper thin. I know that much.

Thats what I have heard. I got a tip from on old timer for a homemade tanning solution of water, alum, saltpetre and pickling salts. Soak for 2 days, pull it out and the flesshing should be easier. In other words, tan before fleshing. Any thoughts or comments on that method?

Most of the rabbits I've skinned ( I wasn't keeping the hides, mind you), the hide seemed to come off fairly clean. You may not even need to flesh most rabbits.
