Whats everyone using for traps for the live market? Been told by some that laminated jaws won't cause damage to a live market yote. I can't for the life of me figure out why it wouldnt cause problems. Whats your alls opinion on this? John

I'M NOT SURE ABOUT THE LAMINATED JAWS, I PREFER THE SOFT CATCH TRAPS MADE BY VICTOR.
ALL OF MY YOTES HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN VICTOR 1.5 SC, I HAVE BEEN VERY FORTUNATE NOT TO HAVE LOST ONE. THE VICTOR 3 AND 1.75 SOFT CATCH ARE MORE SUITED FOR THE COYOTE LIVE MARKET.

Thanks for the reply footsnatcher. I don't use soft catch as I wack and stack ever critter that I catch. Before all the live market guys get on the subject of 125 coyotes, I have found my own market for fur and I get the same price as you all but mine don't require good feet.

Laminating your jaws just makes more surface area. This will lower the closing PSI pressure. Because of the greater surface area the jaws have a greater holding power. They are easer on the feet.

mb 550s work great for coyote and red fox for the live market! One of the few traps you can take out of the box that you have to do very little modification to.

You tried the MB450 or MB450FX yet OBX? Curious about them.. though still too iffy to purchase a dozen at that price.
