i finally found some traps locally at a fair price(or actually had the money to buy them should i say). i work and by the time i get home i only have so much time and energy left to use reading off the computer. i dont know if its just me but reading off screens instead of books makes me crazy. plus i need as much extra time as possible to set up traps and keep an eye on them. if any expericenced trappers want to help me i would be very greatful!, or just want to talk trapping call anytime. 423 496 3373. please leave a message with number if i dont answer.

Take Rye`s advice I went to the Columbia, NC workshop earlier this year. It was very educational. Especially the trap modification for me. The group of instructors were all very nice and were willing to help with all questions, how to look for sign, you name it. It was 1st class and will be the best $$$ you will spend next to your traps.

I will be glad to help you anyway I can. Just PM me or you can email me at brook1965@yahoo.com. I can definately remember the days when I first started back in the late 70's early 80's and I had a mentor (an old man that would make me so mad sometimes I could have just kickd him, but it was for my own good and he would stand back and watch the set making, if he disliked any part of it he would walk up, trip the trap with a stick and say " That aint what I taught you!, Do it over. After several weeks of severe frustration and thinking that this man was gonna get hurt in the woods by me, I quickly learned his "pet peeve antics" He is gone now and I owe my gratitude to him for the things he taught me. He was so eaten up with arthritis in his hands and legs that in his last days, I had to basically carry him. That man devoted his dying and last days on earth to helping a beginner like me to learn the proven methods that he used. I will give back whatever I can in helping you or any other person out! I at least owe my mentor that!
