Good Evening,
I'm in Winston and have a good sized pond in my backyard. We have 2-3 rather large beavers doing some decent damage. Just wondering if anyone is in the area and what type of fee is attached to trapping? Thanks a bunch!

Is the pond all in your yard, or does it belong to several landowners, or an HOA? If it belongs to multiple individuals you could potentially need their permission to properly handle the situation. Wildlife Damage Control Agents for your county can be found using the following site: www.ncwildlife.org/fs_index_06_coexist.htm and click on contact a wildlife damage control agent, select Forsyth County. Call them all until you find an agent you are fine with using. Landowners whose property is being damaged by beaver - those beaver can be taken by any lawful method (shooting or trapping) at any time without a permit from the commission. The landowner can also contract out the work but the contractor must have written permission for removing the problem beaver(s). WP
