I have had no problems with it all winter trapping in 5 different eastern counties for coyotes. Great Stuff!

I dipped in Nov. and used the traps most of the winter, small spots of rust as you would expect but it protected very well for me. I plan to use it again.

I have looked at it but not tried it.
When I look at a dip I always try to figure out what kind of base it is. For example F- 1 which I use a lot of appears to be a latex paint of some sort.
Full Metal Jacket has the appearance of a " floor wax " to me.

I got that full metal jacket. It does smell like latex paint. Dipped some traps and they were scent free in a few days. Finish does seems to be pretty durable after drying a few days and does shine somewhat like a floor wax.

I "attempted" to remove the FMJ from some traps in the past few weeks, it is not easy. I guess that I will stick with it for the upcoming season.

Does it work on k9 traps? I'd think they could still smell it.
