#1 is that gray fox are a pain in the ass when you are trying to catch coyotes while they aren't in season. I can't believe how many times a couple of my traps have been fired and the pattern covered in little paw prints.
#2 is that it is likely unnecessary to double-stake my traps in this red clay that the south is covered in. Especially when I feel the stake hit the hard-pan of that cement type stuff. I pulled my traps today for the deer hunters in the area and it nearly killed me. What gives with this dang dirt!
#3 Biscuit was right, I will probably have to change my screen-name to PossumKid. Those things are everywhere. If I can sell when they hit the $30 bracket, I won't mind as much. I'm sick of remaking after them. Not to mention that they stink. But gas money is gas money I suppose...
I will have more for you later I'm sure.

Crank that pan tension up to 3-4 lbs and that should eliminate the greys and most of the possums. Although I am convinced that you could hang a trap from a tree, and a possum would find a way to put his foot in it ;D

I don't know whats the deal with the possum's this year, we have seen them in the tree's along with the coon when we tree one. And a couple of our younger dogs have put a few of those stinkin things up, but we're doing our part in gettin their population down.
