In our provincial trapping hand out they have listed all the furs and a monthly chart to when something is under prime / prime / past prime. This helps greatly when some one wants a season opened or extended for some reason. There are NO IF and or BUTTS once this is used. Don't know how to post links and the information does not pertain to you down south, but maybe you should look at it.Search paramiters;; Manitoba.gov.wildlife.trapping regs.

I can't recall seeing one of those down here... might have to ask Colleen about one. I reckon a good trapper already knows.. but fo rthose of us greenhorns, it'd be a great tool.
