I grew up trapping in Pa where you could trap almost anywere. But I joined the army and im stationed at Ft. Bragg and cant seem to find any place close enough were it would be worth the drive every day. If anyone knows any place that I might get a few traps in around here please let me know.

State convention is Sept. 26-27 in Smithfield just up 95 north of you. We are a friendly group and you can always find someone willing to help here.

Go to ncwildlife.org and look under state gamelands. There is a lot of land and for 10.00 bucks (a game land use permit) you can trap it all. You will still need the trapping license.

Also, check to see if the base has a game warden or someone who regulates hunting, etc. You may be able to trap there, especially if you volunteer to help with nuisance wildlife problems. Other military guys stationed in N.C. have been able to work that out at their facility.
