What does the NCEEP do ?? Even tho I did and quote an excellent job of beaver removal for a university, I may lose out to this NCEEP this time around, something to do w/ their picking up the bill.

"In July 2003, North Carolina committed its resources to an innovative program to restore, enhance and protect its wetlands and waterways. The N.C. Ecosystem Enhancement Program combines an existing wetlands-restoration initiative by the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources with ongoing environmental efforts by the N.C. Department of Transportation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joined as a sponsor in the historic agreement." Just what we need, another government agency

New one on me. Looks like a green feel good project. I assure you that DOT doesn't want more wetlands around public roads. If memory serves me, they provide approx. 60% of funding for BMAP to keep roads from flooding.

Better do some research Jimmy,
NCEEP is a tax based program w/ the dot and the corp of engeneers as working partners.
I lost Duke to them as it wouldnt cost Duke any money to have them deal w/ their beaver problems.
I can fw you my dismissal emal if ya want........

I think I saw a booth last summer at an event they were attending. I got the impression trapping was not a good topic to bring up. I think they liked peoples woods being flooded.

Well, I don't like MY woods being flooded! (or cropland either) Nor do the farmers that are my customers. Sorry you lost Duke, Buzz
