Last sale I averaged 30.00, and not all of them sold. I sell a few on the taxidermy market as well and get anywhere from 100-300 a peice depending on the spots and quality of the cat.

Cats- With all sizes thrown in I may avg somewhere in the $40-$45 range. Yotes- I stopped handling them a few seasons back.
To the best of my knowledge there is only one local buyer left in WNC, Arthur Lowe in North Wilkesboro. I believe he is only accepting put up fur.
I've been shipping to John Epler in Pennsylvania. John is a member on here.

lds that's like a case of beer from that dor kitty. Dont know whar your reg's are there but here cat meat is cat bait, they can't seem to get enough. That is why here you always set in multiples when the lynx are moving, because the first is always eaten.

Although I'm sure it happens I've never heard of a cat eating another full grown cat down here. The only other land animal we have here that I know of that will go after bobcats is a coyote. Yeah, a gator will gobble one up, but that's not really a land animal.

When the high prices happenned in the 1980 the lynx were over harvested 5000 animals and for some reason we have not had a cycle on the snow shoe hare population since then.. manitoba is a big prov. and 2/3 is registered trap line areas, held by 1500+ trappers, open trapping area has 5000 lisences. The take nowadays is around 700 animals, but with the spots in cats coming back there may be a few more. Most lynx are axidently capturedwhen they are pawing at martin sets in the trees. The new conibears close tight enough that their feet are trapped. Interesting is that their #'s are down so much that Minnisoda bobcats are being caught in SE manitoba. I do not target lynx because of their low cycle. When they were high it was nothing to see 1-2 a day on a 5 km trail when we went icefishing on in the winter. I may see one track a season pass through where I trap. Our season is from 1 DEC to 28 Feb. Heck I see more wild boar tracks than that, and those are 4-500 pounders, 6 footers, there was a russian boar farm flooded out and they do swim, and reproduce even @ -40C/f. they go into round bale piles for days on end.
Did that southern boy not forget the golden rule when ice fishing ! You are to share your Jack Daniels when on the ice, And that includes the worms for their shot.....of anti-freeze.. or to the ice fishermans "cough syrup"
