down..... That pond I've been working for a land owner gave up it's second to me this morning. I got him in a leaning stick snare set up... he is about 45-50ish pounds... I wanted to post it up as it's been a slow week with nothing but empty dirt holes and cleaned pans. I saw another beaver swimming away from the dam when I drove up.. still much work to do in there I reckon. Here is the set and the catch another snare set up in this pond. Note the dam behind the snare. This is a channel that had bubbles in it in a trail, figured he was coming and going from here.

My camera is totally gone now.. I've been limping it along this season but it's finally gone. I'll get a photo of the beaver on heathers camera before I skin him... here is a crude paint job of the set. I'll get a photo in the morning. Question.. you'd mentioned the other beaver "looking for" a beaver that I'd taken out. Can I use his castor on the tree to draw the other one in looking for him? I plan on trying it anyway..just wanted to knwo what you though. I took the body and milked the castor a bit on a castor mound set I already have up and going. Hoping to have the same affect.

You can use a little of the sac oil for that.
