Went back last night and didn't have anything. Also didn't see any fresh sign from another beaver. Is it possible that there could have been only one? Anyone ever just find one beaver?

Afew years ago went to do a complaint job, fella had a 1/4 acre pond behind the house. No fresh sign,so i set a few snares out in the most likely spots and on day 3 i caught the old boy,he was very ragged lookin and had only one front foot.I decided to skin him out and he had bird shot all in his hide and some wicked old scars.if not for the snares i belive i wouldent have caught him, sorta felt bad forem but he was on his way out anway.blackettle

Nope......no more beaver. I just checked the pond yesterday for any fresh/new sign and didn't see anything. Nothing freshly chewed up.

One thing I learned from Jackie over on T-man. This time of year they turn into cows. A lot more grazing on greens than chewing on trees.
